Adding Users, Renewing, and Upgrading License

Enter your License Key in our Online Store, or log on as the user who purchased the License.
You will be forwarded to the Upgrade/Renew page where you can add users, upgrade editions, and renew maintenance using the dropdown menus.

Upgrade fees are effectively a credit exchange of your current license for your desired are based on the following formula:

  • Desired License - Current License +/- Service Plan Prorating

The current service plan expiry will be replaced with a new servce plan for the desired license which begins from the purchase or quoted date.  We are not able to adjust the dates when adding users, as all new licenses include a year of upgrades of service.

The fee for upgrading your license will vary based on the user count you are upgrading to and when in the service plan you are when requested a quote.
Enter your License Key in our Online Store to see the purchase price as of today's date.


Seat Based License

A License is required for each named user in the database (seat based). Deleting a user will free up a License.
 

Introductory Prices

The Enterprise and Enterprise+ 5 licenses are discounted for new users and small enterprises.
Community licenses are sold at a subsized rate for budget minded organizations.

New purchases or upgrade/renewals of existing Licenses may be entirely self-service via our Online Store.
Purchases made with Credit Card are issued immediately, no additional steps are required.

We also support Accounts Payable workflows which generally involve the following steps:

Purchase Order (PO) or Requisition forms

Pleasant requires valid Payment before providing a Product Key (Net-0 terms). 
Purchase Orders must be processed and paid for a Key to be generated.
We will gladly provide any information needed to create a PO, but require Credit Card, Wire or Cheque Payment to be received and processed before issuing a Product Key.

Invoice Generation

Entering a Reference Number (PO, VAT, tracking number etc.) on the Checkout page and clicking Contact Us will automatically issue an invoice with the corresponding Reference number included. This option is also available when a Quote is retrieved via the Purchase Link.

The Invoice is simply a Quote with a reference number included, as all the corresponding information is identical. Pleasant uses the same template for Quotes and Invoices to streamline the purchasing process.

Retrieving a Quote or Invoice

A Quote or Invoice can be retrieved via the Purchase Link included in the Quote or Invoice.
This link is also emailed to the Requesting User in plain text.

The Purchasing user must be logged into the Store, or create a new account to retrieve the Quote information.

All Quotes are generated with a Globally Unique Identifier (GUID), so the link itself is a keyed value.
Any Purchaser may retrieve a Quote so long as they have been provided this keyed value and have an account in the Store.

Product Key and Receipt will always be delivered to the Purchaser, however there is an option to enter End User information where it differs from the Purchaser. See Registration Information below.

Accepted Forms of Payment

Credit Card (Visa MasterCard Amex) - Instant delivery of Product Key.
Wire Transfer (EFT) - 2-5 Weeks to process.
Cheque - 2-5 Weeks to receive and process.

All purchases of Pleasant Password Server are processed through our Online Store.

Product Key and Receipt will always be delivered to the Purchaser, however there is an option to enter End User information where it differs from the Purchaser. See Registration Information below.

Note: we cannot process Credit Card Payments on behalf of customers due to PCIDSS Compliance.
No Payment Card data is retained or used even where authorized.

Wire Transfer or Cheque Payments

Contact Us with your desired order and Payment details will be provided.

In order to speed the Procurement, please let us know when Cheques have been mailed and Wire Transfers processed.

Payment Terms

Net-0. Product Keys are emailed to the purchasing user after Payment is received.
By default the Product and Receipt will be sent to the Customer information provided on the most recent Quote or Invoice.

Other Payment Terms (Net-30, Net-60, etc.)

A 30 day Temporary Key can be issued where Net-30 terms are required. These keys must be requested.
A new License or upgraded Key cannot be issued until Payment is received and processed.

Registration Information

Before checkout you can select if the Product will be registered to your Store Profile information or an End User of your choice. The Product Key and Receipt will always be emailed to the logged in Purchaser.

If acting as a Reseller, the Product Key will need to be manually forwarded to the End User.

Maintenance Renewal

Annual Renewal

Maintenance Renewal is entirely optional as your purchased License is perpetual use.  However, your License is only eligible for Software Upgrades and Product Support for a year after initial purchase, unless there is a renewal of your Service Plan. Reset Server users must be renewed annually.

Upgrade & Support Plan

Pleasant Solutions’ Research and Development efforts into new security technologies and comprehensive Product Development, are progressive and continuous. To take advantage of the latest advancements, you need to have an up-to-date Upgrade and Support package/ Service Plan. In addition, you always have peace of mind that you can contact our Support Desk in the rare event something is not working right for you.

Service Expiry

The purchased softwware license does not expire. You are only prevented from installing new updates if your Software Upgrade & Support plan has expired and you do not extend it. You can still continue to use the software without further charge, if you do not wish to upgrade or use product support.

Maintenance Fees

Annual Renewal price is 25% the current cost of your License each year.
A second year can be Pre-Purchased for 20%, a second and third for 19% each, and a second third and fourth year for 17% each.

Extended Plan Savings

Pre-Purchased plans can results in massive savings over long term and worry free implementations.


Renewing a Service Plan

The process is identical to upgrading your License. Simply enter your License Key in our Online Store, or log on as the user who purchased the License. You will be forwarded to the Upgrade/Renew page where you can add users, upgrade editions, and renew maintenance using the dropdown menus.

The pre-purchase discount will be applied to any additional years purchased.

 

Upgrade Examples

Our full price list is available on our Website and our Store. There are no additional service fees applied to purchases.

The calculation used for an upgrade is:

  • Desired License - Current License +/- Service Plan Prorating


Where:

  • Desired License price is taken directly from the price list.
  • Current License price is taken directly from the price list.
  • Service Plan Prorating = (Current License x 25% / 365 days) x (Days used on service plan)
Example 1

On Jan 10, 2017 an Enterprise+ 5 license with service until Jan 10, 2018 is purchased.
On Jan 12, 2017 the license holder would like to increase the user count to Enterprise+ 20 with 1 year of service.

  • Desired License = $2,200
  • Current License = $548
  • Service Plan Prorating = ($548 x 25% / 365 days) x ( June 12, 2017 - June 10, 2017 = 2 days of service used)
    • = $0.75


Upgrade Total:

  • $2,200 - $548 + $0.75 = $1,652.75
Example 2

On Feb 11, 2017 an Enterprise 50 license with service until Feb 11, 2017 is purchased.
On June 12, 2017 the license holder would like to increase the user count to Enterprise 100 with 1 year of service.

  • Desired License = $4,836
  • Current License = $3,031
  • Service Plan Prorating = ($3,031 x 25% / 365 days) x ( Feb 11, 2017 - June 12, 2017 = 121 days of service used)
    • = $251.20


Upgrade Total:

  • $4,836 - $3,031 + $251.20 $2,056.20
Example 3

On Aug 15, 2017 an Enterprise 20 license with service until Aug 15, 2018 is purchased.
On May 1, 2018 the license holder would like to increase the user count to Enterprise+ 150 with 2 years of service.

  • Desired License = $10,935.60
  • Current License = $1,630
  • Service Plan Prorating = ($1,630 x 25% / 365 days) x ( Aug 15, 2017 - May 1, 2018 = 259 days of service used)
    • = $289.16


Upgrade Total:

  • $10,935.60 - $1,630 + $289.16 $9,594.76
